

John
is a partner of the Commercial/Corporate Law Section. After spending
a year in the tax section of KPMG, John was admitted to practice in
1984. He is extremely well qualified with particular expertise in corporate
commercial work including mergers and acquisitions, restructering of
companies and trusts.
He
provides advice on structuring for asset protection and portfolio planning,
contracts, property and other joint ventures, banking and finance.

John
has worked at Freehill, Hollingdale and Page which included being seconded
to the Australian Securities Commission to assist on the Herald and Weekly
Times takeover. He then moved to Clayton Utz as Senior Associate in the
banking and finance section. Whilst at Clayton Utz, John was head hunted
to establish an Australian Banking operation in America by the USA legal
firm Johnson & Gibbs. He worked in the states for two years. Upon
his return he was made Partner at Wisewoulds, where he founded the Business
Law and Trade section.
